About us
The agency on the Turgutreis seafront
Licensed, local, and open to anyone who would rather walk in and ask a question before they book anything.
U2 Travel & Yachting is a travel agency in Turgutreis, at the western end of the Bodrum peninsula. Alaattin Akkaya runs it, and it has been trading under this name since at least 2011. The shop is on the sea side of the road, below the Mandalinci Yelken Hotel — worth knowing if you have only ever booked a day out through a website.
The guided coach excursions are ours: Ephesus, Pamukkale, Dalyan, Bodrum city and the peninsula. We set the times and the route, and if the day goes wrong it is us you ring.
The rest we arrange for you. The boats, the dive schools, the quad bikes, the hamams and the hire cars belong to operators along this coast; we put the day together, hold the booking and take a margin for doing it. Saying so plainly seems better than implying we own a fleet.

Licensing
What the licence actually means
TÜRSAB is the Türkiye Seyahat Acentaları Birliği, the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies. No agency in Turkey may sell a tour without a TÜRSAB licence, and every licence carries a number and a class. It is the nearest Turkish equivalent to ABTA in Britain: a register with rules, and one you can be removed from.
Ours is a class A licence, number A-7021. The TÜRSAB badge is on the sign above the shop, and the number is in the footer of every page here — where a Turkish agency is required to put it.
ABTA and ATOL are British schemes, and neither covers this. ATOL applies to flight-inclusive packages sold in the UK, and a day excursion bought direct from a Turkish agency is not a UK package under the Package Travel Regulations. We will not imply otherwise. What you have instead is a licensed Turkish agency with a number, an address you can stand outside, and a phone that gets answered.

Working with us
What to expect when you book
No booking engine, no queue, nothing collected at the coach door.
A person confirms it, not a calendar
There is no automatic availability engine on this site, because there is no honest one to build: much of what we sell depends on a boat, a ferry or a guide being free that morning. Send the date and the number of people, someone checks what is actually running, and you get a yes or a no.
The price on the page is the price
If the day cannot happen without it — the coach, the guide, the entrance fee, the ferry ticket — it is inside the figure you see. Genuinely optional extras are listed separately, with their own price, and they stay optional.
We say what is ours and what is not
Where we are the agent rather than the operator, the page says so. You are still booking with us and still ringing us if something changes, but you will know whose boat you are standing on.
You can come and find us
The shop is on the seafront in Turgutreis, below the Mandalinci Yelken Hotel. If you are already on the peninsula, the shortest route to an answer is usually the door.
Let us show you the Aegean
Our line for as long as we have had a website, and still the job: you have a week or two here, and we know which day is best spent where.
